Q. How do we get our website on page one of Google ?
A. The main search engine in the UK today is Google. Firstly, we need to choose the keywords that people will type into the Google to find your products or services. It is better to find 'niche' keywords as much as possible.
For example, the phrase 'kitchen sinks' will have an enormous amount of competition but, if you choose a keyword like 'blanco sinks' (a brand name), fewer people will search this term but you may well appear on page one.
I aim to get all my client's websites to appear on page one of Google for as many of their main keywords as possible. I have a unique system of achieving this including using a special program to 'optimise' your home page which greatly helps Google find your website. Membership of the Local Web Ring really boosts Google's ability to find your website and helps put it on page one of the search results for your keywords.
I also offer an ongoing 'Link Building' service which improves your ranking on Google and maintains it's page one results for your keywords.
Q. How much will my website cost?
A. How long is a piece of string ? Typically my clients invest between £450 and £950 in an individually designed website depending on how much work is involved. A content management system or shopping cart would add to the price of your investment.
Once your website has been designed and built, there is an ongoing cost of £30 per month to cover the cost of hosting your website, the cost of renewing your domain name when due, minor occasional changes to your website, email accounts as required and telephone or email support for your website. The price can also include membership of the Local Web Ring which will greatly help Google find your website - and I would aim to get it on Page one !
Q. Can you design us a website that we can manage and change ourselves?
A. Yes I can, but it is important that your website is professionally designed in the first place. I have a range of what are called 'content management systems' to suit your requirements. Whether it's simply updating an area of a page, changing whole pages, uploading pictures, maintaining listings or presenting news articles.
