You may have heard of the new GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations) which came into force 25th May 2018. This is very important and needs to be taken seriously.
Basically GDPR covers how you deal with the personal data from enquiries and customers such as names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses etc.
The government will be able to issue quite large fines on business, large or small, that are not complying with the new regulations.
I think it would be wise to add a ‘Privacy Notice’ to your website which explains to viewers how you will deal with their personal data. The privacy Notice should be personalised for your business and will give customers confidence that you are legitimate and have their best interests in mind.
I can also supply a list of the main points of the regulations (in basic terms) so that you are aware of the things you need to do to comply.
